Interim Manager
for personnel and digitization
What does an interim manager do?
An interim manager is a freelance consultant who advises companies both strategically and operationally. An interim manager is therefore not a generalist, but an absolute expert in his respective field, for example in human resources.
Interim managers are used when special projects need to be implemented, new processes or tools need to be implemented, or highly qualified vacancies need to be bridged, for example due to parental leave or illness. The interim manager leaves the company as soon as the project is successfully completed. In this way, the company can purchase external expertise for a limited period of time when it is needed.
Interim management process flow
1. Free, non-binding phone call
This phone call is for you to get to know me and my work. In return, I get to know your company and your current challenges.
2. personal appointment ‑online or on site-.
At this appointment, I do a target/actual analysis: What are your current problems? How does the HR department work? What do the processes look like and what improvements are necessary?
3. Concept creation
After I get to know your company and the current challenges, I will develop a sustainable concept so that you can work cost-effectively, more successfully and efficiently in the future. Whether you already employ a large number of people or are just starting to build up your workforce, my advice is aimed at both large companies and start-up companies. Taking into account your industry, your budget and your target group, I will create a tailor-made digital HR strategy for you.
4. Implementation
After you have approved the concept, it will be implemented in your company. As an interim manager, I support you and your department on site to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
5. Phase out
My temporary assignment with you lasts as long as you wish. In the last phase of the so-called phase-out, my deployment times are reduced further and further until the processes are fully implemented and all users feel safe.
Do I need an interim manager?
The use of an interim manager is always advisable when you need expert knowledge on call quickly and easily. For example, if current challenges cannot be solved with the existing processes and tools or to bridge unoccupied vacancies. However, transformation processes and the handling of national and international projects also require the use of highly qualified external experts. In addition, do you want full cost transparency and predictability and need expert knowledge quickly and only for a limited period of time? Then the use of a freelance interim manager is a good idea.
How much does an interim manager cost?
Payment is based on the agreed hourly rate. The hourly rate is based on factors such as workload, tasks and responsibility, as well as the location. Since interim managers work on a freelance basis, you do not have to pay any social security contributions. This means that you do not have to pay for downtime, for example due to illness, and the risk is borne entirely by the interim manager. This outsourcing of risk enables you to have a high level of cost transparency and predictability, since only the actual working time is paid for. In addition, the interim manager is available to you promptly and will leave the company as soon as the project has been successfully completed or the vacancy has been filled. In this way, you benefit from expert know-how exactly for the period in which you need it.
